There is no such thing as “too” much play.

Have you ever felt guilty about letting your little one play too much? Are you afraid that playing with toys is interfering with their learning process? If you answered yes to any of these questions take a deep breath! Playing is helping your little one.
When children play, they are participating in functional/manipulative play. Functional play involves children learning about objects and their use. When you allow your child to play independently, you give them a chance to figure out the ways things work which helps their development and independence.

Manipulative play involves children using their hands to manipulate toys and objects to learn how to use them. When this occurs children not only learn but gain improvement with their fine motor skills.

Need some ideas on how to make the most out of play? Awesome we have you covered. Try some of these ideas listed below to make the most of your play experience.

Reach & Grasp- This involves allowing your little one to reach and grab toys that they want to play with.

Release It- This involves giving your child a container to hold toys and allowing them to dump the toys out and put them back in the container.

Encourage Construction – Guide or suggest for your child to build something with their toys.

Whatever you choose TRUST YOURSELF! Know that you are doing what’s best for your child. We all have the moments where we worry BUT play is not something you should worry about. Encourage it & embrace it.

Best Wishes,
